Another great idea from "Design Spounge" is this bookshelf made from a discarded wooden spool. I'd love to have this in my spare room where the grandkids stay but have no clue where to find one of these spools. If anyone has a lead on one, please let me know.
If you are still looking for one, I heard that you can go to a hardware store that sells cables and such and ask them for one. You may can call your local cable company or the city and ask if they have one. I am sure they would rather seen them recycled.
