Before the days of television, video games and the internet, people used to sit in front of their radios and listen to shows, such as Sherlock Holmes, Superman, Father Knows Best, and Blondie. Once tv became popular in the 1950's most of these shows went off the air. Thanks to the internet, these shows can still be enjoyed today.
As much as I love tv, I find that I tend to use it as background noise rather than visual entertainment. Now I listen to OTR when I'm doing crafts, cleaning, and, most enjoyably, as my nightly bedtime story. Listening to OTR is fun and entertaining. I really like to listen to OTR with younger children. They enjoy havng someone tell them a story and it introduces them to entertainment of a time gone by.
